NO Electronic Music Collective meeting on Wednesday

I will be out of town on Wednesday and won’t be able to host the Electronic Music Collective meeting at the Crafts Center from 5:30 to 6:30. I am copying the director George to give him a heads up. You are more than welcome to meet anyway.

When I was in 306, I saved a number of bookmarks when researching how to create my composition. Among my interests were microtonality and just intonation, though I ended up using PureData in a fairly straightforward way

Here is a link to my MUS306 & PureData bookmarks :

Here are all the links that I collected tagged “MUS306”

A favorite book I discovered while researching my project is
Earth Sound, Earth Signal by Douglas Kahn a study of energies in aesthetics and the arts
In my opinion, a fantastic book. The library has a copy.
I’ll provide an update on the next meeting ASAP.

November 4th Meeting – 5:30 to 6:30

Sonic Pi and Pure Data on the Raspberry Pi 2

The Raspberry Pi 2 is an excellent, inexpensive platform for music experiments. The Raspbian distribution comes with Sonic Pi installed. The L2ork distribution of PureData has been ported to the Raspberry Pi. I will be demoing both of these programs.

Also, bring any questions about your projects and lets see if we can solve them.
